In my teenage years, while many of my friends pursued sports or private tutoring, I was drawn to creativity and imagination. Encouraged by my father to think beyond boundaries, I began writing as a freelance contributor for national newspapers — focusing on children’s pages, sports, and cultural features.

At Notre Dame College, I immersed myself in cultural and computer clubs, edited the little magazine Monon and the children’s magazine Ichchemoto, and later worked with Bangladesh’s first webzine Meghbarta and as Editor-in-Charge of Gunijan, a digital archive of eminent personalities. I also explored filmmaking, designing, and motion graphics — passions that shaped my lifelong journey of innovation and storytelling.

Historic youth magazine edited with friends, featuring leading literary voices and cultural voices

I was the editor of a little magazine published during the 21st February Book Fair in 1998, along with my childhood friends Shoily Nisar and Shahriar Khan as co-editors. The magazine featured contributions from some of Bangladesh’s most celebrated writers, poets, and journalists including an interview with Humayun Ahmed, poems by Shamsur Rahman, rhymes by Lutfor Rahman Riton, a feature by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, and a short story by Imdadul Haque Milon. It remains a proud and historic publication of our youth a reflection of passion, creativity, and literary collaboration.
